Waynesburg. Cool. I’m from WV and lived in Wheeling for about 8 years and Morgantown for 2.
Dave,
Hope all is well. I was a Lit major as an undergrad and went on to do Continental Phil in grad school. I’d be happy to talk about your interests in Phil and grad school. Let me know.

Hi Dave, I wanted to comment on your “flying farther” thoughts on graduate school but would rather take it to email. Send me your email if you are interested. melissa(dot)florerbixler(at)gmail(com).
Dave,
I hope things are going well for you. Have you heard back from any schools?
send me an email and let me know how the applications are going.

[...] The book event for Eric Santner’s On The Psychotheology of Everyday Life has begun on Dave’s blog, with Jeremy’s first post on the introduction. I am scheduled to write two postings on the [...]
Dave: I like your post. Be sure to look into Drew’s program. Chris Boesel is a very worthy fellow, and worth having a conversation with. I clocked out of there last spring with my Pd.D. I am presently an adjunct professor of religion at a local college, and practicing psychotherapist. Not a bad combo! My dissertation was on K. Barth and Jean-Luc Marion. Good luck! John McNassor
Thanks for the comment John. I didn’t end up applying to Drew this year, or any programs outside of “strictly” philosophy, for that matter. I’m definitely leaning towards choosing a place where I can still study cont. philosophy of religion, and will probably keep an open mind the next time I apply (I’m due to update the blog yet again, but as of right now, it looks like I’ll be trying to graduate from somewhere with an MA in 2012.
Your interest in the relationship between Christianity and Marxism explains a great deal, as the intersection of the inheritance of the meek and the failure of capitalism seems to be located at PNC Park.
Haha, well put.
Hey!
Nice blog Dave; nothing is more important for us to make up our own mind.
